Jnana Yoga (the path of contemplation or insight): Jnana literally means knowledge. Jnana yoga uses self-inquiry, questioning, meditation, and contemplation to gain enlightenment. Greater concentration of mental activities is required.
It can be practiced through – Shravana, Manana, and Nididhyasana
Karma Yoga (the path of action for its own sake): Karma means action or deed. The yoga of action. Basically the path of selfless service. A karma yogi sublimates the ego, purifies the heart, and realizes oneness with all beings by acting selflessly.
Raja Yoga (the path of self-realization): Raja means Royal. It is also known as the royal road to yoga. It is the scientific, step-by-step approach of yoga, the one of mind control.
